About me

Greetings, human! My name's Dan, known as @danwrong on most web things. I'm a London-based former web developer and engineering leader that's now turning his hand to 3D graphics programing, XR and hopefully a bit of computer vision. I've done all kinds of stuff I'm proud of up to this point: I built some of the first generation of ecommerce sites, the web shop of one of my favourite skate shops, lead the web team at Twitter then went on to run Deliveroo's entire engineering organisation. Now I'm trying out something different. Let's see how it goes.
When I'm not doing programming related stuff I'm doing a bit of DJing and music production, ammassing large amounts of sports orientated footwear and spending time with my family who are proper quality. If you want to get in contact with me or stalk me a bit more take a look over to your left at the Elsewhere section for some means to do that kind of thing.
About this site
This is site is my playground and a place where I get to collide my former world of web programming with my new world of graphics programming. I'm warning you all, I'm going to try out some weird shit on this site. It's probably not going to be the stablest place but I have a high degree of confidence it'll be pretty interesting from a technical point of view and constantly in flux. I'm also not a designer so it'll probably be annoying to use in places but I'll try my best to at least keep the blog in some kind of readable state.
As it stands this site is an unholy mishmash of react-static and three.js that I'll probably blog about at some point (maybe I have already by the time you read this!). It's going to change dramatically as I learn more so its going to be pretty worth checking back from time to time and poking around. It's hosted very simply and cheaply on Netlify which I'm loving so far. So, yeah, thanks to all the people who made and maintain those things.
